Fix a Leak 237 ml
Fix A Leak 240 ml – Our Main Product for Hot Tub and Spa Leak Repair
Fix A Leak (240 ml) is a concentrated, blended sealing solution designed to repair small leaks in hot tubs and spa plumbing systems. One 240 ml bottle is effective for hot tubs and spas containing 950–3785 liters of water.
This product has been trusted for decades to seal internal plumbing leaks, minor cracks, and seepage without requiring costly repairs or disassembly.
Leak Detection
Hot tub and spa leaks can typically be identified by:
-
noticeable water loss not caused by evaporation,
-
wet spots around the spa or hot tub,
-
slow dripping from insulation or plumbing,
-
water-soaked foam insulation (a sign the leak has existed for some time).
When repairing a spa or hot tub, the water temperature must be at least 21°C for Fix A Leak to perform correctly.
Using Larger Sizes
If the 240 ml bottle is not available, you may use the 960 ml bottle intended for swimming pools.
Use no more than one-third of the 960 ml bottle (approximately 320 ml) and follow the same procedure.
If water loss is greater than 2.5 cm in 24 hours, a larger bottle (960 ml) may be required for multiple treatments.
Most spa repairs last 1–2 years when performed properly.
Hot Tub and Spa Leak Repair – Instructions
-
Determine water loss over 24 hours. Refill spa to its original water level.
-
Warm the bottle by placing it in hot water for 15 minutes, then shake well.
-
Remove all cartridge filters.
-
Pour the full 240 ml bottle into the filter intake or directly into the spa.
Day One
-
Run the spa for 4–6 hours, alternating between low and high jet speeds.
-
If the spa has only one speed, run the jets 15 minutes ON / 15 minutes OFF for a total of 4–6 hours.
-
This step requires supervision.
-
Day Two
-
Brush the bottom of the spa, then repeat the same jet cycle as Day One.
-
Do not add more product.
-
-
Once you believe the leak has stopped, leave the spa off for 48 hours to confirm that water loss has ended.
Draining and Curing Process
-
After 48 hours, drain the spa (only if night temperatures remain above 4°C).
-
While draining, rinse the spa walls and wipe with a warm, soft cloth to remove residue.
-
If not done properly, a white film may remain.
-
-
Allow the spa to sit empty for 4–7 days.
-
This exposes the inside of the plumbing to air, allowing Fix A Leak to fully cure and create a stronger, longer-lasting seal.
-
-
Reinstall filters, refill the spa with fresh water, and resume normal operation.
Cold Weather Conditions
If outdoor temperatures are near or below 0°C, do not use more than 480 ml of Fix A Leak.
Because draining is not possible in freezing weather:
-
Reinstall filters instead of draining.
-
Run all jets for 2–4 hours.
-
Remove filters and clean thoroughly with warm water.
-
Repeat cleaning if needed.
-
Reinstall filters and resume normal operation.
This treatment will help the spa last through the winter.
A second application may be needed once temperatures rise above freezing.
