C36Q Solar-Powered Irrigation System – Q Series
High-Capacity, Weather-Responsive Irrigation for Serious Growers**
The C36Q is the latest advancement in our solar-powered, weather-responsive irrigation systems. As part of the new Q Series, it offers significant improvements in performance, noise reduction, mounting flexibility and upgrade potential, while keeping the core technology that made previous models reliable and widely trusted.
Designed for growers who require fully automatic, solar-driven irrigation, the C36Q adjusts water output according to sunlight intensity: more sunlight results in more water, less sunlight results in less water.
Key Improvements in the Q Series
Quieter Operation
A new SPVQ pump delivers more water while consuming less power at a dramatically reduced noise level. The pump is barely audible during operation.
Higher Efficiency
Upgraded pump technology and modernised electronics provide improved performance from the same amount of solar power.
Flexible Mounting Options
The system can be mounted:
-
from the rear onto posts, walls or sheds, or
-
from the front onto greenhouse glass using the included adhesive mount.
The solar panel can be tilted upwards for front mounting or downwards for rear mounting to ensure optimal sunlight exposure.
Upgradeable System
The controller can be expanded with:
-
an additional pump for liquid feed (fertiliser), or
-
a second irrigation network, increasing capacity from 36 to 72 irrigation units.
Enhanced Components
-
Nine watering levels for precise control
-
New three-probe water level sensor indicating both “low” and “empty”
-
Improved DRV3 drippers (1 litre per hour) with longer outlet, flow direction arrow and built-in stopper
-
Hand control module with LCD display and LED indicators
-
Controller can be installed out of reach, with all functions available through the hand control module
Performance and Capacity
Standard Capacity (Single Pump)
-
36 irrigation units
-
Example capacity:
-
36 x 20 litre tomato plants, or
-
72 x 10 litre pepper or herb pots
-
With Pump Upgrade Kit
-
72 irrigation units (two networks)
Typical Water Usage
-
400 litres generally lasts 1 to 1.5 weeks in high summer
Maximum Distances
-
Controller height: up to 2 m above bottom of water source
-
Controller distance: up to 3.5 m (6.5 m with extension)
-
Highest dripper: up to 5 m above water source
-
Furthest dripper: up to 20 m from water source
How the Irrigation System Works
The pump operates every 3 hours.
Water delivery is determined by:
-
the selected watering level (1–9), and
-
the level of sunlight during each 3-hour operating cycle.
A single night-time watering mode is also available when required.
The system is fully weather responsive and operates exclusively on solar energy.
